About BakÁS PILIPINAS
Bakás Pilipinas is comprised of a diverse group of people in varied professions interested in maintaining the architecture, landscape and cultural heritage of the Philippines. We count among us architects, conservators, architectural historians, artists, photographers, planners, anthropologists and other concerned advocates.
MISSION
To cultivate awareness and appreciation for Philippine historic architecture and sites
To assist in the preservation capacity building of local architectural, engineering, and planning professionals
To promote the exchange of ideas between Filipino and international preservation professionals and crafts persons
To promote historic preservation as a tool for sustainability and economic development in the Philippines
